Navigating Medical Record Summaries
Here are the main features of the medical record summary:
- Case Overview: A brief overview of the key highlights in the case presented in several pages of titled paragraphs. Serves as a quick reminder of or introduction into what the case is about.
- Patient Profile: In this section, medical history of the patient is described (to the extent mentioned in the uploaded records). We don’t include medical history in other parts of our summaries to prevent information duplication.
- Chronology: A timeline with mini-overviews of each record and hyperlinks that let you dive deeper into the detailed summary.
- Detailed summary: An in depth summarization of all the information in a record including links to display the source material.
- Less details: If only main information is needed, the bullet point version with less details should be selected.
- More details: In case more information is needed, it is possible to switch to a more detailed version of a summary in a narrative form.
- References: Every sentence or couple of sentences have a reference to the source record in the form of a hyperlink. You can click on the hyperlink and read the original record if needed. This works on both the PDF version and in our interactive platform. While the PDF hyperlinks link to a whole page, the platform view highlights the exact place on a page where the information was taken from, speeding up the AI review even further.
- Word index: A list of keywords and the pages where they can be found. The index is especially helpful when a user is not familiar with the case and doesn’t know what keywords to search for.
All these components and some of the functionalities, such as hyperlinks, are present in both the interactive interface and the exported PDFs.
However, the Interactive Interface offers additional features that allow you to fully leverage this product, including its time-saving benefits.
